I have a math assignment that says we have to find the sales tax in 3 states. If you dont know 3 and you just know your state's sales tax thats ok. THANKS GUYS!

sales tax is differant in each county in each state, but some counties may have the same, there is a sales tax for the state as a whole, then each county has there own sales tax they add to the state sales tax, the the state of texas the sales tax is 6.25% but in my county it is 7.85%, each state also has a maximum that the counties can charge for sales tax, the max for texas is 8.25%

For Pennsylvania it is 6%.

Illinois is 6.5% (but most counties slap on even more tax-my town is 8.5%), Indiana is 6%.

LA County CA - 8.25%
San Diego County CA - 7.75%
Orange Country CA - 7.75%
