first of all whoever said that our troops should come home are brain washed by DUMB DEMOCRATS. if i were u i would right down the names of every dumb democrat to go on tv and say that our soldiers should come home....so in future when they run to get re-elected you'd know not to vote for them.
Job in iraq will never be done. it was not intended to be done. it is a strategic neo-conservative move that will give us HEGEMONIC power in the region. we already have 4 bases in Iraq (right smack in the middle of middle east) and an embassy in Baghdad that can house 15,000 personal.
Iraq is just a battle ground and leaving iraq will not solve anything. if we were not in iraq today then all these terrorist bombings and up-roaring would be going on in Afghanistan (not saying that it isn't, but its in limited numbers)
Another reason we can't leave Iraq is because of Iran. if we leave Iraq then obviously there will be a civil war and the country will be split in at-least three parts. the sunnis, shites and the kurds....that will start more wars with kurds and turkey (turkey has made that obvious)...it will start a war with shites and saudi's (saudi's have publicly promised to back sunnis)...and it will start a war with Iran and sunnis (probably a proxy war through shites in iraq). If we leave Iraq that would also mean a GREEN LIGHT FOR IRAN to do and make whatever they want. our forcers wont be in the region anymore and there would be nothing we would be able to do to intimitade Iran. and to redeploy troops to Iran or close by would cost way more then what we have spent on Iraq.
now look at the other side. what do we lose if we stay in Iraq???
first of all we wont lose any money...because we will make trillions once Iraq is stablized. even with unstabilized iraq our government holds the key to the pandoras box...in the box there is oil and everything u can imagine that we have here and they want in iraq. every country who wants to do business in Iraq would need our nod. let me repeat this word again just incase u missed it....HEGEMONY...look that up.
we'll get much needed oil...yes this sounds evil but we don't live in a lala land with rainbows in sky, people holding hands and signing a song. we live in a real world and i honestly don't want to pay 10-15 dollars/gallon for gas.
so what do we loose?????
in my perspective, soldiers are the only real thing we would lose in Iraq but from more realistic and sinical point of view...we have only lost about 3000 troops so far. how many did we loose on just D-day alone? and if we leave iraq then all of over 300 million americans would be at risk from WMD's (Iran) and a lot more jihadis.
so before you repeat a dumb democrat that u saw on TV. think twice. our soldiers should and will stay in Iraq no matter who opposes it.

Our troops, as well as the Allied troops, should all go home if you ask me. The groups over in the Middle East have been engaged in warfare for centuries-----it's what they've done since Old Testament times. Our involvement and presence over there has caused us unnessary casualties, troop fatigue (both mentally and physically), anguish, despair and grief for the families that survives over here at home. Not to mention acquiring more global enemies than we can handle; even some countries that used to like us no longer do because of this nonsensical war. WE DO NOT BELONG OVER THERE! President Bush has orchestrated a very unique and terrible mess that the next president, whomever that will be, has to spend their first term to clean up. May God help us all...

All evidence is pointing towards a whole new war in Iraq and it seems that the feelings of gratitude for toppling the former government are slowly turning to well....We said thanks so what exactly are you still doing here? People are growing suspicious of Americas intentions and it is no longer a war to free an oppressed people but a battle of wills. Too much of something good can become poisonous. Leave Iraq to rebuild their country, mend the bridges and heal their loss. If the outside world wills to help then it must stop dictating and acting offensive. That need died with the former dictator.

Quite a writeup, Roo, I presume none of those 3000 dead soldiers were members of YOUR family? Who the heck are you to make light of our brave men fighting a useless war?
Why should I care who kills who? Just stop throwing American lives into the turmoil?
All great Generals know, that there comes a time to reconnoiter, to pull back, re-group and then charge forward. If I were that General, I would pull my troops out. Let the civil war take it's toll, without American soldiers involved. After a period of time, when, all of the enemy is tired of killing each other, or the situation becomes a serious threat to OUR homeland, I would rely on the Strategic Air Command to end any nuclear or other missile threat.
The time of the foot soldier is past. There are too many other ways to end conflict. BRING OUR MEN AND WOMEN BACK HOME! RECONNOITER!

The answer is both.
Most ppl want:
1. For Iraq to be stabilized.
2. For the troops to be able to come home.
3. For Iraq to be able to take care of its own problems.
The question is not what we want but how we differ in achieving these goals.
Democrats believe it is time to start reducing the troop count in order to force Maliki to take control of Iraq.
Republicans believe that stabilizing Baghdad with a troop surge will result in stabilizing all of Iraq.

Come home and let Iraq solve their own problems or keep Iran busy for awhile with an entanglement. We made the mess by going there, However we can not clean this up. Go back to school.

Try and bring them home without the yellow ribbon.
Ever wonder would our creator let them go in planet of apes?
They were out there with a purpose for the good of mankind in planet of apes.
Survivors with their children from after world war two must solve the mystery on what went wrong out there before they are being release by our creator in planet of apes.
Someone out there is already looking into it to come up with a yelllow ribbon for the good of mankind in planet of apes.
Why those out there must stay in line when something extra ordinary is out there in planet of apes.

Shouldn't we be looking for the dude who actually attacked us?
What was his name again? Oh yeah, Osama. The dude who killed a few thousand Americans on American soil. Why are we in Iraq again? Of course, we're looking for non-existent weapons of mass destruction.
Now, when we go back to Afghanistan, let's focus a bit more on the enemy and a little less on tapping natural gas from the Caspian Sea. I dunno. Some incredibly rich dude who's well organized and dead set on killing us. I'd think that would be a priority. Then I think we can chill the f*** out.

How can we complete a job when Iraq is convulsing in civil war? This is complicated: we have installed a Shiite government but unfortunately they are sympathetic to Iran, a nation that hates us and supports terrorists. The Sunni are Arabs that supported their disposed leader who also hate us. The Kurds hate the Turks who are our allies and want to break away from Iraq. Please explain : "till the job is done" what job are we talking about? We are standing waist deep in the biggest mess any one man could create! MY CALL: Bring our boys and girls home.

Since our troops are in Iraq, they have no choice but to stay until their term of service is over unless they get that million dollar wound or come home in a body bag. I would like to see them home safely but that is left up to our great politicans. I wish them good luck and God bless them.
