usually if you forget to take a pill one day, the doctor recommends you take two the next day.... if you LOSE a pill, though, i bet you just continue taking one a day until the end of the pack - it shouldnt throw off the hormones too much.

good luck with the part about not getting pregnant

She takes the next available pill, which would be the next day's pill. She would just start her new pack a day earlie or could not have sex (or use another form of back up protection like condoms) and start the new back when she originally is suppose to.

Never skip as that leads to potential pregnancy risk.

Talk to the pharmasist and prescribing doctor, plus the package details that comes with the pills when she picks them up also should state "what if" situations.

i once dropped one down the sink, ok i dropped two down the sink, thank god not on the same day. When I called the doctor and he said just continue with the pack. In otherwords, if she was on pill 12 and lost it, she should replace 12 with 13 and 13 with 14 and so on. Therefore she would not miss a day. She should take two today and then continue on....... Her period may come a day earlier now, thats all. Good luck

Find the brand and look it up online or ask your pharmasist. All brands have slightly different instructions on what to do in such a case.

Better ask your doctor -- I know you can get pregnant after missing just one pill though.

What do the instruction inserts that came with her pills say to do? What was she instructed to do by her doctor?
