It would make sense being a cunning and master deceiver that he could come up with something

I love some of the silly things people have come up with:

"there is too much good in the Bible for it to be from evil." - Oh? That would make it a perfect deceit, wouldn't it? Something worthy of the master deceiver. If your beliefs are right, being good doesn't mean anything unless you believe in one thing, and he's led you astray from that.

"Satan could never be that smart....:" - If Satan's not smart it would definitely explain the undeniable amount of contradictions and falsehoods in the thing.

"Lucifer cannot tell the truth" - If Satan wrote the bible, he's just tricking you into thinking this so he can deceive you. Really, the only things we know about Lucifer are from the bible, if he made it up then he made up everything about himself as well.... Plus most of the bible isn't actually true.

"God says He inspired the writing of His Bible" - He only says this in the bible, and if Satan made the bible it's still a lie.

""Can a kingdom divided against itself stand? Can Satan cast out Satan?" -Jesus" - Again you're using the bible, which you can't do if Lucifer actually wrote it.

I love how christians have no defense for any of their beliefs except for the bible. Even in a hypothetical situation where Satan wrote the bible, they still try and use it to argue against that.

The reason we know Lucifer to be a liar and deceiver is because it says so in the Bible.

Therefore it is illogical for him to write that in the Bible because that would then be the truth which of course he doesn't abide by.

This is not a proof that the Bible was written by God, but only that it could not have been written by Lucifer.

Supposing Lucifer DID write, or inspire the bible, I'd say he's in bad need of an editor. As for the "too much good", or whatever the other comment was, saying that would make it not possible, I suggest a re-reading of the bible. There is more brutality, horror, cruelty, and any other inhumane atrocities committed in this "holy" book than any other I've seen, and their not the work of the bogey-man. It's the main character, god almighty itself.

Lucifer cannot tell the truth, so if he wrote the bible nothing he says can be true, even himself. Besides that, God is in complete control, so that could never happen.

And if Lucifer did write the bible, then he must of had foreknowledge of the death of Jesus and all the events that have taken place. Therefore he would be God like, yet he would be lying to people and telling the truth about certain things. So the only way that is even possible is if Lucifer was God himself deceving everyone. If this was the case, then who knows what the future lies ahead. Although believing this would mean, Jesus was a phony, and that I cannot believe. As well as the fact he would be making mockery of his own self.

Or what if Lucifer doesn't even exist and the Bible was written by a bunch of ignorant Bronze Age men, and all kinds of people have been thrown off by it ever since?

I wouldn't read it. Just imagine what this world would be like if Lucifer wrote the Bible, a whole lot worse than it is today. Imagine our world with no love or peace. My answer again, I wouldn't read it. I'd throw it away. It would be filled with readings that are just that, lies, and deciet.

Remember when the Pharisee accused Jesus of casting out demons with power from the devil. Jesus replied, "why would the devil cast himself out." Why would the devil use the Bible, with the Gospels as its strongpoint, to trick people? It is true however that the devil has tried to twist the meaning of the bible and the truths of the bible and different bible verses to trick mankind into believing something that is not the truth.

Well Satan is more afraid of that book than you are because this book tells of his death and how it will come to pass.
And maybe Satan did write the bible in your mind and I could see that because of this scripture; Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

If the Devil was your god then God would be your enemy;
2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
2 Thessalonians 210And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2 Thessalonians 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
Also Satan is the auther of death, hell, lies, murder, and destruction this is what he wants for you, but cannot have for Gods's children; 1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
Also children of God cannot be deceived; Matthew 24:24
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

I think it somewhat obvious that you are right. The bible is clearly, with all its errors and inconsistencies, designed to divide, not unite mankind. It has worked. We have hundreds of different, incompatible religions all based on the same book. The result is misery and war for much of mankind. If god had a hand in it, one would think it would promote peace and unity by being short and concise so that all would have the opportunity to understand the message clearly. Now, if only satan's sheep were smart enough to see through the deception.

Actually, you might want to rephrase your question. Lucifer is only mentioned once in the bible, and he is not associated with Satan or the devil at all. Just a FYI
