My wife accidently dropped one of her birth control pill in the car last night and we couldnt find it so she didnt take it yesterday? What next? Does she take the one for today and continue like if nothing happened? or does she have to take two today? if so, what happens with the one she is suppose to take at the end of her pack? Plz help. Thank you.

If she doesn't take one it's not going to effect her. I have missed one, but then just continue to take the dosage the next day. It says its okay to continue to take if you miss one day, but if you miss more, it's worthless. But if you are really afraid, just do what I did with my boyfriend when I got nervous. Pull out or wear a condom! Don't take the pills from the last week. Just go one to the next day!

Yeah that has happened to me many times. She just continues to take them until the pack is finished. Than continue on like nothing happened. What a doctor suggested to me is to use a condom until next month. Although the possibility is INCREDIBLY small her ovary might have released an egg in that one day. It has happened to me a few times and I have never used a condom after and things have been fine. I am also in the position that IF a child happened it wouldn't be a horrible thing. Better safe than sorry.

I think you're supposed to take two, then don't do anything physical for at least a week (unprotected, that is) so the pill has a chance to work and to be on the safe side. But like everyone else said, call the doctor to be absolutely safe.

Tell her to call her doctor. They know what specific pill she is on. Without that kind of knowledge you can get misinformed and risk pregnancy.
Some pills have a different concentration of hormones on each week. You can double up with some brands but not others. Please call her doctor.

I would advise her to contact a health professional on this issue. Call your doctor or ask a nurse. I would think that she would just continue with her daily dose, but just to be sure- I would ask a health professional.

just let her take her pills like normal and when she's at the end of ever pack get some more..if she skipped one she should be fine

She should take the one for tomorrow and skip the one she takes when she is on her period since they don't have very much hormone in them
