No. Only the court can.

Besides think of this: If you force someone to do something they don't want to do......what do you think the chances of that being successful are? NONE. Zip, zilch, nada. You force an 18 year old into rehab, he's going to sit there with a chip on his shoulder, refuse to participate and be planning how he's going to get drugs the minute he steps out of rehab--he'll leave if he can. Is that going to help him? No.

You can't force someone to get clean. Now, if he gets into trouble, the courts can order him to go to rehab. If he doesn't stay, he goes to jail. If he does it, gets out and starts using again, he goes to jail. That's a much better motivator than mom forcing him to go.

here it is care and treatment order you get very hard to get. here anyhow. create a paper trail with the police for proof. as all here say . but most is hear say unless you have proof that he is in danger to his/her self or a danger to others. i wish you luck mine is still out there. but you need alot of proof to get one . i have been at it for weeks . try an intervention i did and it didn't work good luck.

all it takes is a few signatures signing off on a itemizing of behaviors that make you "conceivable to your self (an/or others)" and wheeeeeeeee off to the wacky-ward you opt for "commentary" - if "no longer something is spoke of" then "do no longer permit the doorknob hitcha the place the sturdy lord splitcha" you're out. If something is spoke of, you get "treatment"; the greater spoke of, the greater "treatment".
