Yes, I work at a salon & that is what the stylists say..something about how the light reflects off of it and stuff. Also, if you go really light, you can see all of thedamage more. Darker hair is also shinier as well.

If your hair is damaged then you can go darker it may not necessarily look that much healthier to you, however the down side is darker hair may not be suitable to your skin tone which in turn can make you look overall unhealthy, A good solution that doesnt involve a costly trip to the salon is to apply semi permanent colour to you hair for a while either a color close to yours or darker your choice, Semi permanents are a great way to color and re condition your hair and they give a great sheen. as they dont contain any peroxides which strip color from you hair before adding it. Hope this helps
Good luck

The more things that you do to your hair and put in your hair, the less healthy it becomes. From straightening it, it gives your hair a lot of split ends and becomes dry. But if you dye it, it kills your hair. believe me, I've dyed my hair three times and i will never dye it again because of the damage it cuases in the long run. Personally, if i were you, i would try to condition my hair and get it a little thicker and healthier before dying it.

Dying your hair darker may make it look healthier, but will actually worsen the problem. Instead, change your hair habits to make your hair become healthier and keep your current color.

no purely death over bleached hair won't make it dissapear that is going to likely be there till this is decrease out. what it does advise is which you wont be colouring it with bleaches and strong tints anymore in basic terms utilising elementary semi perminant tint whitch you will desire to constantly use semi once you circulate from blonde to darkish. the semi will quite plenty have not any destructive result on the hair witch ability you need to use remedies to restoration condition with out bleaching it lower back and lower back stoping the hair from repairing and finally purely making it worse and worse

I would guess so, because the darker the hair the less you can see the split ends. And when its lighter you can see the split ends better.

Not necessarily it depends on the texture of your hair and how damaged it is please invest in a good conditioner daily and weekly intense treatments. darker hair can appear damaged even if it is straight.
