Well I'm probably not in the norm when I say this, but I truly, honestly don't want my hubby spending any money on me. He's going to cook me dinner because I usually do all the cooking. I'm buying some salad shrimp thats on sale this week for us and he's making pork chops and twice baked potatoes and probably a vegetable. Then we're just going to sit around and watch movies from the library. I have very frugal tastes.

On Valentines Day - I don't care if I don't receive candy or flowers - this is not very original - but, I would just like to go out for a nice lunch - to beat the evening dinner crowd. Then, home for a little TV. Not exciting, nothing fancy - just nice.

Romance!!

Anyone can go out and buy flowers and candy but I'd trade that for a thoughtful homemade dinner anyday.

Just give it some real thought, it's not the money that is spent on a gift, it's how much thought went into it, cook her a nice dinner and give her a relaxing massage (and don't forget to get a sweet heartfelt card!)

For there man to either fix a nice dinner for them (and cleaning up the kitchen) or take them out to a nice restaurant (not fast food). Also, flowers, a nice romantic card, candy, a nice foot message leading into the man taking care of all the woman's needs (be as unselfish as she wants you to be).
If you cannot afford to buy her a nice dinner, flowers, etc., then make up a gift certificate telling her she can redeem it at any time. This certificate could be for you do take care of the kids for an entire day while she takes care of herself (bubble bath, lunch with her friends, a movie she wants to see but you don't). Or for you to offer to do all the laundry/housework/cooking for an entire week (if you don't know already, it's not as easy as she makes it look).
Even something like promising to pick up after yourself, making the meals and cleaning up after, helping her with housework, listening to music she likes, telling her she is beautiful, etc., will do more in the long run to make love you more.

Personally, I'd take a good night of cuddling/talking. Simple and free. I'm an easy girl. :) Oh wait...maybe some dark chocolate too. And a unicorn and a pink pony....

Most woman just want to know they are loved and they want to feel special and beautiful and maybe a romantic dinner out and a homemade card that comes from the heart

Drain your bank account, max out your credit cards, spend the entire amount on them or just give them it as cash all wrapped up in a nice package. That's being honest.
