short pointy ears, rather wide set.
5 long whiskers on each side of nose.
most cats have rather roundish heads/faces,
the eyes are not wide apart but not narrow set either...
their body and legs are made for running and jumping so they have for their body size rather longish legs, and a well ballanced body--not long not compacted, just well ballanced.
they have long loose tails (except for the manx which has no tail at all, poor kitty) to aid in their ballance when climbing, running and jumping...also aids in their communications with one another and us. (watching a cat's tail will tell a person volumes about what the kitty is feeling and trying to say to us.)
that is really a good question...makes a person really sit and think, now that i'm thinking about it, i'll probably come up with a better description of a cat later, like in a few days or weeks i have to really sit and think about it, first.

umm small soft and furry with four legs and a long tail, If yahoo would let me post pic's I'd show you my babies but you can type photos of cats online and see what they look like. But I must say I have never heard of anyone not knowing what a cat looks like. Oh wait like a tiger only really small compared to a tiger
