NO NO NO! Avoid Petroleum Products Petroleum products, such as petroleum jelly, baby oil, mineral oil and preservatives that are commonly found in store-bought lotions, creams and skin care products are foreign to our skin cells and clogging to our pores. They also atract dirt and bacteria and can become vehicles for these unwelcome substances. When our skin has to deal with this abuse everyday it ultimately weakens and breaks down the strength and durability of our skin and can cause an allergic reaction. This is very evident with the rise in skin allergies, dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, dry skin and skin cancer.
You should only use products that are truly "all natural" (read the ingredients) and organic, if at all possible. The only oil you should put on your skin, especially, because it is so sensitive, is organic, unrefined, coconut oil. And soaps dry out your skin even more, so you should wash w/ products that do not contain "soap" or any fragrance, that are non-comodogenic. do a little research, but trust me ... I've done the research myself & have very sensitive skin, and for health reasons, most importantly, I only use natural, organic products on my skin, body, hair, and for consumption. I don't even use regular toothpaste, mouthwash or deoderant, if it's not organic, and truly organic. it won't do it any harm, if you are not allergic to any of the ingredients, but it probably will not help much either!!!! Are you planning on leaving the oil in your hair (yuck- this will not be a pleasant sight) or are you thinking of washing it straight back out again??? (what is the point of this if you are???) Your face will just end up looking shiny and possibly scaly for some time- as the dry skin looks like scales (or mine did) when you apply oil. This is how I manage my skin problems, and most people do not know that I have a problem these days. Hope it helps, Goodluck!!!!
I also have very dry skin, both on my face and on my scalp. I used to get really embarrassed about it, especially my scalp, which looked like I had really bad dandruff, and I could not even dream of wearing a black top.
Baby oil will be of little help as it will only seal in existing moisture, not add any. I found that for my face it was much better to have a bath or shower, not use soap on my face, but a moisturising facial cleanser for dry skin- dove is ok if you are not sensitive, or a neutragena one. Any really that are made for dry or very dry skin. Then, I pat my face dry and use a high molarity face moisturising cream. As I use so much- it has to be applied at least three times a day, I tend to go for less expensive creams. Two of my favourites are Boots No7 Advanced Hydration Day Cream- they also do a night cream for application before you go to bed, and the body shops' Hemp face protector. Both are very good.
For my scalp, I found that it was a different issue. Nearly everything I tried had little or no effect. I even tried a wide range of products on prescription from the doctor. Nothing helped. I managed to find some things that triggered it- these were two in one shampoo's and conditioners, any type of hair product that was to be left in the hair e.g. mousse, gel, hairspray etc and any type of shampoo/ conditioner with a heavy perfume. I struggled on for a while, but I was becoming desperate. I tried not washing my hair as often, thinking that the natural oils would help replenish the hair, but all that happened was that the roots looked greasy and the ends were dry. I could find anti- dandruff shampoo/ itchy scalp shampoo etc but they did not come with conditioner. My hair was so dry that I could not do without conditioner. After goodness knows how many brands, I tried the new head and shoulders shampoo for sensitive scalps. It comes as a seperate shampoo and conditioner, and I find that if I wash my hair every two days, I am able to keep the itchy, flakiness away, my hair is managable and looks healthy. I have also found that I can use the 'soothing' variety of the same range. It took me about 17 years to discover this, so I hope that I have saved you some time and that this works for you!!!
P.S. Avoid leaving your hair washing too long- it can be as bad for the skin on your scalp as washing your hair too frequently.

This is probably a very bad idea. Baby oil can stain clothes, and if you have sensitive skin at all you may break out severely. I would recommend using a facial moisturizer, if you dont want to buy one or cant find one then any lotion is better than baby oil. If you tend to have lots of dandruff and your scalp is really dry, I say to use Selsun Blue, if you cant find it at a grocery store than any drugstore should be guaranteed to have it, I would recommend the medicated one.

Good Lord no! The oil will clog the pores on your skin and then you will have an acne problem. Try mashing an avocado and putting it on your face and leave it there for 10 minutes. Wash off and always remember to pat your face dry. NEVER rub the skin on your face. Go to the pharmacy/chemist and buy a good quality face cream. It may cost $40-$60 but it will last you about 6-9 months. Remember to wash your face twice a day as this also helps your skin to produce its natural oil.

I would have to say NO baby oil has mineral oil in and that is one of the worst thing that you can put on your body!! Mineral oil is nothing more than refined crude oil that inhibits the skins ability to breathe and release toxins? the link below tells you more on mineral oil!!
