Does anyone know where I can get a free program online to compress video?

My brothers and I made a movie, and it is stored on my brother's computer, which I currently am using. It is 7 gigs, which is too large for a DVD, so I need some compression software, which will not say sample across the screen. Also, do you know of any free internet DVD burning software? Thanks!

Try Irfanview to compress and Nero and DVDshrink for burning.
