Not from REV Canada unless the house is owned by you and rented to someone else not in the family... legit expense for the property improvement.... then the rent is taxable... check into the new program Harper announced about 2 weeks ago to encourage renos to cut energy use... it costs about $500 to get in (keeps the scammers out of the program) but you get rebates and grant money back once the job is done and checked out...
I did the Home Energy program before... the one Harper killed... my house gets re-tested in a week or so... I stand to recoup about $2000 for my energy improvements and got to stay in because I had already started a year before he killed it.
