I assume you mean tonsillitis - inflammation of the tonsils. The usual cure is an appropriate antibiotic from your Doctor ,which should cure the infection.
As for food , I suggest a nutritious sloppy food ( soup, stew etc and rice pudding) that can be easily swallowed, together with plenty of fluids.A dry cough is often improved by honey & lemon drinks at night and paracetamol to help the pain.

Hope you soon recover.

If you mean tonsilitis.... then take paracetemol for the pain and fever or any other symptoms you might have. Gargling dispersable aspirin is supposed to be good as well if you can stand the taste! Also, hot drinks sooth a sore throat, i always find. If it gets worse, go see the doctor. You might need antibiotics.

After two rounds of an antibiotic for my daughters tonsillitis, I called the Dr and he told me to treat it symptomatically. So I said, what does that mean? He said give her aspirin. So I did that for the other times they became inflamed. She is now 36 and still has them and lived through her childhood.

So antibiotics are not always the answer.
