I think Wile E. Coyote. He's got this skewed view of what's important, keeps doggedly going after this ideal of the Roadrunner, while blowing himself and many other things up in the process. Kinda counterproductive and never gonna win. You almost feel bad for the guy. Except he's bent on destroying this innocent Roadrunner.

It just parallels God loving us but letting us suffer and all that.

Superman. Superman is known to be powerful. Works for good. Helps those in some kind of trouble. Indestructable. Can go all around the world in seconds. Knows all that's going on in the world.
