Neither - religion is man's attempt to reach God, spirituality is man's attempt to do the same thing, or search within himself for something that's just not there!

Relationship is what mean's most and what God wants with all humans - that's why He created us - with free will - to choose Him and have a relationship with Him.

Neither, religion [aka spirituality] is a hoax. Religion is used to manipulate people. A very good [current] example is the muslims in the middle east, look at all the senseless violence. xians have their own black ages and great periods of intolerance. Religion is the main reason for all wars. No religion no war!

Spirituality, because it encompasses everyone, everyone is an individual and is a spirit themselves. Religion is very segregated (as I'm seeing on this website) and people only believe certain things keeping in theory of what they are told to believe in their church about their God. Spirituality is in the name of God, too, but an open mind is required.

Neither is of paramount importance to me. "i'm the least religious guy you'll ever meet." but what some people term religion, i term a relationship with God. and when put into that context, the whole subject, and it's ensuing faith becomes much less foreboding.

Spirituality because that's about my personal growth and connection to all that is. Spirituality doesn't have to include religion.

3) both, without spirituality, religion is useless and cannot bring peace to your soul, which is the goal we try to reach and can lead to fanatism.
and spirituality is useless without religion, it is without effect cose it consists on very abstract things, while religion constitutes the cement that will strengthen the soul with its rules.
