I think my boyfriend may be developing an eating disorder. At first he just exercised and ate healthy so he could be faster and better at tennis. For tennis, leaner, smaller people are generally better and he's 6'3" with a strong build. But now he's lost over 15 lbs. and his family thinks he's anorexic (they may just be joking.) I wouldn't be very worried but even his best friend asked if I had noticed that he seems to have gotten a lot thinner recently(last month or so.) I know he would never purposely develop a disorder because he hated it when I was anorexic but I really love him and would never want him to go through anything like that and I am worried. Should I be? Any ideas as to what I should do would be great.

Serious answers only, please.

I don't really think he's anorexic just I'm afraid he's taking it overboard. He seemed obsessed with being healthy and faster. He was a little chubby before, and now he's perfect in my opinion. I'm just afriad he won't stop or know when to.

He's been playing tennis for about five years now and usually *gains* weight in the winter because he can't practice as much.

If you have a bad feeling about his behavior, definitly talk to him about it. You know what paths eating disorders lead down, and he can be spiraling in that direction. Talk to him, tell him you're concerned and that if it is getting to be a problem you'll do whatever you can to help. Be open minded and kind, he could really be suffering. Good luck.

If you were anorexic you aould know what the signs are. Losing 15 lbs for a guy 6'3" is peanuts. Is he still eating all the food groups and exercising at healthy levels? Watch what is going on to get the real answer.

If he did anything that serious wouldn't he come to you about it. Does he gorge on food? Does he go to the restroom alot? Does his skin look bad? Well good luck!

i think you should talk to him about it and if he dosen't admit to it still look for signs..you know he's not eating or he goes to the bathroom after you eat..mood swings stuff like that. Maybe you should go talk to a conselor or a parent
