when I was diagnosed it took them a while to find the right combination of medication to get me stabilized... some times it just takes a while... as long as you're not having suicidal thoughts you'll be ok... just make notes of your concerns with the medications you are taking and express them to your doctor and if something is not right I'm sure he will adjust it or change it... good luck...

I was put on Geodon as well. As you said it work really well at first, than thing started to change. I would have panic attacks, I was afraid of the world. I was not myself it was as if it changed me completely. I begged the doctor to take me off the meds. He put me on a mood stabilizer called Neuronton.(spelling). He has stressed to me that this med is NOT bipolar approved. But it worked for me before. That is when I was not diagnosed as bipolar. I have not have the anger outbursts, but the excitability is present. I have become myself again. I hope and pray that I will be able to learn to deal with the manic and depression with this meds because I do not want those side effects as well. I am not sure if this helped by I was glad to hear that someone else has had that same reaction to Geodon.

Only you know if your symptoms are truly becoming worse. It sounds like the symptoms you're talking about (panic attacks, no energy, etc) are side effects of the meds. Those are very powerful anti-psychotic medications that have mood stabilizing effects. Most likely your doctor is having you switch meds to help you find the right medicine/dosage for your bipolar. I know it's frustrating, but it takes time and patience to find the right meds for you. Hang in there.

If you consider that your care is being mishandled, search one other opinion. Having stated that, you can also want a few meds to aid you over the tough bits of existence. Alternately, you will have sort two bipolar ailment. BP-II sufferers generally tend to stick close the depressed finish of the spectrum, and have a tendency to cycle among very speedily. So move forward and search one other opinion, however keep at the meds so long as your document desires you to take them. If they make you consider bizarre, and the final result does now not leave in a pair-3 weeks, inform him/her and get the dosage transformed. You additionally might most of the time advantage from a therapist who specializes in speak remedy, or (as labored nice for me) a blend of treatment and speaking.

if your diagnosis is bipolar, some antidepressant should be prescribed for you. in absence of these drugs(e.g. prozac) patient can enter to a depression episode. but abilify is only a antipsychotic drug that prescribe as a mood stabilizer.
don worry and ask your doctor for a antidepressant agent.

Bipolar is COMPLETE BS! Don't let psychiatrists tell you how to run your life.
YOU DON'T HAVE BIPOLAR BECAUSE BIPOLAR WAS MADE UP BY THE DRUG COMPANIES.
I have eight years of experience with those doctors. They are ALL full of shite.
