how do u make sticky rice(steamed rice) when u r using a rice cooker and jasmin rice? i always try to make the rice stick,but it come out wet. do u put less water than the amount of rice? more water? equall amount of water?

Sticky rice is a different type of rice... typically a short or medium grained rice.... Also you can look for glutininous rice.

In terms of regular long grain jasmine rice, I wouldn't go higher than 2 1/4 cups (maybe 2 1/2 cups) of water per every cup of rice. The rice cooker should be able to sense the extra water and cook it "properly" but using the extra water will give you a "stickier" rice... but definately look for a short grain rice if you want sticky rice.

Well I cook rice and I put 2 1/2 water and it will stick on rice cooker and it work for me. Maybe u should try that as well. Oh yeah one thing if Ur one person make sure u pure 2 rice and that u can have it for lunch and for dinner as well. Good luck

I work at a chinese resturant and my boss always puts an equal amount of water or a little less to make the rice sticky.

in the rice cooker u just cook the rice normal.. then set it to a warm setting and it goes sticky

use a lil less water and lil more rice
