I think the biggest problem is so many christians go on their "missions" to save people and then say the most absurd things to these people that already have a negative view of christianity things like "aren't you worried about your salvation? don't you wish to be in heaven?" if you're saying anything like that to an athiest, I'm telling you right now... the answer will be "no" everytime, and you'll get laughed in the face.
Christians have this bad stereotype of being closed minded...oh wait, most of them are...
Many christians get angry and easily irritated when people don't listen to them, here's a news flash ATHIESTS REACT THE SAME WAY. The kicker is that an athiest isn't trying to promote a religion of peace and love. Christians make themselves out to be hippocrites, and that's what makes the rest of the world doubt them, christians in the public eye seem to be no more spiritually or emotionally enlightened than anyone else. It's questions like "what threats work best on you" that are PRECISELY the problem with this country.

Nothing would work. They lose their stupid faith and become atheists. It doesn't work the other way. They're fighting a losing battle, and the biggest joke is that the more they tangle with atheists, the more of them become atheists! They're the ones that need to get in line, and they know it. That's why they attack atheists the way they do, because their ridiculous "faith" is shabby and shaky, and it doesn't take much for them to lose it.

I've never been threatened nor have I threatened anyone, either you are with God or you are against God it is as simple as that. Everyone chooses for their own self, either you choose to "get in line" or not, it's up to the individual you can't force anyone anyhow.

threats do not work
groups must appear consistant, yet not dogmatic - the first is ruined by the fights between various christian branches, and fundamentalist bible thumpers breach the second requirement

If I saw this god split the sky and show itself to the world once and for all, then I'll believe.

I agree.. That's the worst threat and punishment of all! Believe in gods, or I'll make you read the bible!
How's that?

Here's a question - isn't it already too late? I mean if the unforgivable sin is blasphemy(??), then I'm already condemned.
Right?
So my response now is "What, me worry?"
