Look up a beagle rescue in your state, I can bet you will find one or 10!! Also, try petfinders.org and then the shelter. Good luck.

Beagles are actually fairly easy to find in shelters. It is sad, but most people don't understand the breed well and they get one because they are cute. Beagles are wonderful pets with the right training. They tend to bark alot and chase things (ie. get lost). They are very smart and will listen if trained in obedience. Good luck with your search but make sure you have done your research on this breed before you get one!!

Check shelters during hunting season. Lots of hunters lose their beagles during this time.

No they are not, I actually got my beagle there when she was seven and a half weeks old. She's been the greatest and yes make sure you take obedience classes.

No, they are common due to their tendency to run off and get lost when chasing small animals.
