YES!!!! And so are Lillies - weird one but had to mention it because they're my fave flower but just found out that they can cause chronic organ failure in cats and love my cat more than flowers so thought you should be aware of it too.

It tends to be very poisonous for dogs as they will consume it in great quantities if given the chance. Cats usually don't eat enough to cause serious harm though they may get somewhat wired from it or have stomach upsets.
It is just not a "food" for any pet.

well that's what I've heard but I'd.my dog about 50lbs ate a whole huge chocolate cake and he always gets chocolate chip cookies.I've heard it is poisonous for smaller dogs (like chowowas) 2-20 lbs.they would probably be alright if that ate a small am out of chocolate that isn't to constrained. i wouldnt try giving your dog any chocolate just to be safe.

Chocolate is harmful to anyone if it is in a large quantity....not necesarily poisonus to a dog or a cat...depends on the breed of the dog....too much chocolate can be harmful to anyone or anything no matter dog or cat

um yes....but not the milk chocolate....its the baker's bitter chocolate that is poisonous to them
