Beadboard over paneling?

Question

On 1/2 of a room that was paneled we have wallpaper with lining under it and on the bottom the paneling is still showing through but we painted it. I like the look of beadboard and am wondering if we can install it over the bottom 1/2 on top of the paneling and how would it look? Am wondering if anyone has already done this and how did it look for you?

if u have a solid backing u can install bead board that is in a 4 x 8 sheet.....if wanting to use the 2 1/2" wide bead board then i would say no u need to remove it and install plywood then the 2 1/2" over it.....
