No one wants the troops there any longer than necessary.
However, to simply pull out now would leave chaos in Iraq, with the possibility of a situation much much worse than we currently have.
The Iraqi government has asked the US to be there, so we are there. The Kurds are happy we are there (they even named a university "American University of Iraq" since 2005 in honour of the US being such good friends).
People want us there. The people there understand the consequences of a withdrawal. Too bad more elsewhere don't. Yes, the fighting is tough, but it is not without cause and worth.
Hope this helps.

We should've never went, but now i think we need to stay.
I'm sure some peopel love us being there, some hate it. Maybe some in the middle. Gotta let em know we are there to help.
I think claiming we are there to liberate them is what makes em even more angry. Yeah we got rid of saddam which was helpful, but if saddam was the most loving / caring rulter in the world, we would've probably still ousted him.
All the hardships they have had, you can say its because of saddam, but it was america / uk enfocing un sanctions and bombing them for breaking the sanctions sanctions when they let other countries break them and do nothing.
If its our plan or not, we gotta let them know that we arne't tryign to make them america's ally or enforce a western democracy.
WE got saddam out, we're gonna stay until its stabalized, then we are not going to leave and not want anything in return

We need to stay until the job is done. Look at Vietnam. We left and the country that we were supporting fell apart immediately. If we just pull out of Iraq it will create a cyclone effect that takes all the things we set up over there with it. Stay the Course!!

Sorry I don't think our Soldiers, should come home till the job is done if you pull out early it will just give the terrorist a signal that America is weak, and then we really will have a problem, that is unless you don't think what they did in New York was a problem.?
I've been there done that, If I have to fight them I'd rather do it on their door step. of course everyone is in title to there opinon.!!

It's time to bring our troops home - or at least have a plan in place for bringing them home. All those billions could be better spent strengthening our own homeland borders, improving our defense systems, strengthening transportation and communications, and building better public schools to educate our future citizens. Not to mention we want our guys to come home safe and sound!
We went in to Iraq to find weapons of mass destruction (oops... didn't find any), bring down Sadaam Hussain (all done), and bring democracy to the people of Iraq (they voted and now have their own government in place). Despite all this - Iraq citizens want us out. I say we've done what we went in to do and now it's time to move out.

I would love for them to come home. I have lots of friends over there that I love and some that are about to go back and it doesn't seem fair. BUT at the same time, if the job isn't complete over there and they all come back home, then to me it would seem like the military personnel that have already lost their lives over there would have done so for no reason.

Should we really leave the Iraqis to clean up a bloody mess that we made? Why would that not be cold hearted? Regardless the reasons for us going over there. it has been done, the mess has been made. Now it is only right that we clean it up.
