Pressure from the Godless prideful people that think they are the intelectual elite of society. There is no connection between inteligence and religion but there IS a relationship between the proud the educated. God opposes the proud.

Where did you get your statistical basis?
If atheists are more educated they should believe in the immense power of GOD and be able to comprehend the truth in the Christian Bible.
Please show me the qualifications of the founder in the comment section to bolster your claim.

And you base this question on what criteria? All knowledge comes from God. Check out the biographies of the greatest scientists the world has ever known. Every one of them read from their Bibles. Did you ever hear of Albert Einstein? He was a One God Jew who wrote that the most important thing in life is to know the thoughts of God, everything else is immaterial!! So factor that into your equation and see what your next conclusion is.

I don't know that atheists are necessarily better educated than theists, but theists have made a choice to suspend disbelief when it comes to certain beliefs that make them feel comfortable and virtuous.

faith can block off dissimilar doorways in case you've faith it too strongly. when you're atheist, you've a tendency to be more beneficial open to seeing different factors of view and that makes you higher knowledgable. really knowledgeable people have a tendency to be those who're open to getting to attraction to close new issues, and once you understand lots about the international you end putting too a lot inventory in faith. i'm catholic yet no longer an insane believer.i grow to be raised overseas places and travelled lots as a newborn, so i referred to lots oft he international. i bypass to church when I can yet im open to different perspectives, and that i'd experience free to judge replacing religions if i have been to marry someone of yet another faith. that is not any longer a huge deal to me, and that i imagine that opens dissimilar doorways. the persons who declare their faith is the in trouble-free terms way sound an in intensity-minded and that i dont imagine they are going to learn too a lot if it doesnt comply rapidly with their non secular teachings.

There are some statistics that show that. For example, 93% of the National Academy of Sciences are atheistic.

Well, why are atheists, generally speaking, young and single?
According to at least one study, people tend to become more religious after thirty, or after having children. I guess that atheists tend to be immature & irresposible? ;-)

The mostly highly educated people I know are not atheists. I know very few actual atheists in fact. Most are theists and most are well educated PhDs etc.

You have it backward. It's not that atheists are better educated. Rather, those that are better educated are more inclined to be atheists.

Education leads to questioning, challenging, science, knowledge.
All these things lead to heresy and we know where heresy leads to.
Traditionally, religion always preferred that the masses remain ignorant and uneducated. Every questions being answered by "god did it", and/or "god moves in mysterious ways". People following this path are not interested in academic education.
