Right now I have three cats. One of my cat is about to give birth to kittens? How will the other two cats handle this? Oh, and how do I know when my cat is in early labor? (She will be having her kittens sometime within this week.)

Yes, and we are going to get our cat fixed right after she has her kittens. SHe is only 9 months old and our vet said she wouldn;t have to get fixed until winter is over but.....she still got pregnant. But, I do love kittens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Prepare a quiet, private place for her to give birth to her kittens - a place that is out of bounds for the other cats (and kids). Usually, momma cats like to give birth in cosy, warm, semi-dark places like a cupboard or wardrobe or dry warm corner somewhere in the house where she thinks her kittens will be safe. Once she thinks that the place is no longer safe or private, she will move her kittens to a place inaccisable even to you. So, its important tat ou set aside a private place for her now... make a bed in a big cardboard box and put it in a walk-in closet then show the place to her. If she begins to "nest" then she has accepted it.

Well kittens being born is always stressful to a multi cat household. For one it's something new to them and unfamiliar I have had a few litters born in my house. They will not like the kittens at first but god willing they will come around eventually. It will take a lot of patience!! And when they are first born keep them away from the other cats as this will reduce stress for the new mom. it will take time but they will eventually all get along and who knows another cat may surprise you and try helping out mom a bit. I have a male that helped finish weaning kittens . Yes he pulled hair from his nips and let them suckle him!!! My outside stray cats had babys 3 moms all 3 days apart. They actually tooks turns in caring for the little babes. it's a 50/50 chance they'll get a long or they'll be mad for a short period. Good luck with the new babies.

The cat that is going to have kittens will be looking for a safe place to have her kittens, maybe in a closet or under a chair. When she goes into labor she will more that likely meow, but in an unusual voice. Trust me you will know when its happening. It will take a few hours before she is done.
You did not say if your other cats are male or female, i would guess one of them is male. Male cats don't usually like kittens.
Female cats will probably help clean the kittens (at least my did).

FYI stuff:
Be sure you have some old towels or blankets that your cat can use to lay on. We had to wash & put clean stuff out everyday.

The mother cat will eat the afterbirth sac, it contains nuitrients she will need to nurse the kittens.

My cat moved her kittens around to different places, till she felt they were safe.
Good luck

Just like people, that cat will lay loopy and numb. You can take her to a vet when she's near. You should alot of blankets ready if you do it at home. The other cats may or may not respond. If you have the dad, keep him away. I know you might not want to here this, but after the babies, the cats should get fixed.

My cat had kittens, I didn't even know it was pregnant. She did everything herself, It was a little messy. Not to bad. My other cat tried to hurt the kittens, put the mom and babies in a safe place.
