Interesting discussion related to the converts of Islam. But you notice that most of the conversion takes place in the Western world. You dont hear much of converts taking place in India. Even though 12% of India's population is Muslim, what are the reason, is it harrasment they face over there or is it something else.
Or the people feel happy with their religion?

I would say that since you live in the Western world, you hear more about conversion here than you do there. I am sure it occurs in the east as well. There are, however, other strong ideological differences between Muslims and non-Muslims on the Indian subcontinent, that would make such a change of religion.. distateful to many there....

Well, maybe we just don't hear about them...
Then.. there is a story about a person who converted to Islam, I don't know exactly from where he was, but after converting he wanted to visit middle-east to see how muslims live, learn more about this religion..and after seeing that majority only are by name muslims he said thnx God I became a muslim before seeing muslims..
So the truth is that some might get surprised on how we live, we are just normal people watching same movies wearing same clothes..and it's not something I'm proud of..but Islam is a religion send by God and not every muslims represnt Islam..and I think that this is what people must bear in mind when TALKING ABOUT ISLAM.
I'm not annoyed when someone asks about Islam, but people ask the same question over and over again about jihad, women, four wives...

Performing conversions in India is illegal, for one. Check out the trouble the Israelis got in for converting certain tribes en masse to Judaism so the people could immigrate to Israel.
Also, even private, secret conversions are likely rare due to the animosity between Muslim Indians and Hindu Indians. It would be a hard sell. Similar to how the average American might convert to a Christian sect, but would be unlikely to join Baby Eaters of Baal. The initial shock reaction overcomes any good points the religion has.

You can't remove offensive posts. Considering the violent history between the two religious groups it is surprising enough that they get a long at all. Not surprising that they don't convert to the other religion. You would think they'd all convert to Christianity.

I've been over there. The muslims in India, in the poorer parts, are harassed and sometimes even whole villages destroyed. If you don't believe me just look it up. I've seen pictures and videos where Indian broke into homes of entire families and set them on fire.. They've even snatched babies from their mothers' arms and set them on fire. It's not a joke. If you get the chance to step foot outside of our border and highly censored nation, you will see that life was not what was shown on TV. It's hard out there.
