No you can not deposit that check, contact the IRS immediately so they can reissue you a replacement check.

In a nutshell ... No.

There is an expiration date on the check. (valid until ... ) The check is usually good for one year.

If it is past that date, most likely the check would be refused by the depositing bank - due to it being a stale dated check.

If the depositing bank (knowingly or unknowingly) accepts it, then it depends on if the US Treasury catches that it is stale dated when it processed on their end. If the US Treas does catch it, they can refuse it and return it back to your bank. Then your bank would try to recover the funds by debiting your account for the dollar amount of the item.

No. And most banks won't take a check that's more than six months old.

But you can notify the IRS that you have this, and they'll issue a replacement check.
