Do I have any recourse or can I dispute this? i don't have the money to pay this additional tax of $1,000. Thank you for your assistance!

You have no recourse, make sure that your HR dept starts taking out the correct amount.

If you can not pay what you owe, send what you can with your return. Then call the IRS about 4 weeks after the return is filed and request a payment arrangement, You will be charged interest and penalties on what you owe, until the account is paid in full

No recourse other than quitting a place that screws employees. The taxes withheld cannot be changed now - there is no way any employer will pay back your extra taxes for you. It is now your problem and not theirs.

Submit it again. Maybe you submitted it too late to count for that pay check. - what recourse, they withheld wrong. Just get it fixed

Nope......no recourse.

If they would have done it correctly, you would have less in each paycheck. Though it is their mistake, it is not their fault that you spent all of your money.

Fix it going foward and enter in to a payment arrangement on the $1000.
