You must have a follow-up appt for your tonsillectomy, I assume,so just follow your doctors orders. What you should do is call the doctor and let him know that you are concerned and would like to know what you can eat at this time. I would suggest you stay with soft foods for another week however check with your doctor. If in the event you did start hemorraging, you would definately be aware of it. Soft foods are safe and will give you peace of mind. Try milk shakes, smoothies, eggs, soup, tuna, pasta and grilled cheeses. In the meantime make that important call!!!!!! Take Care.

I know an adult that had her tonsils removed and ate too soon and had to go to the E.R. because of bleeding. Don't chance it and just wait until your follow-up!
