For this question you have to back to the beginning of time, now if we use the theory that God created the earth, we would have to say the chicken came first because God created fully developed, living animals and not embryos in eggs. If we use the big bang theory that all living creatures developed from particles and cells multiplying, the answer would be the chicken again, because it would have to be a living organism to develop. The answer: THE CHICKEN CAME FIRST

Ya the answer will never be known. Without the chicken the egg wouldn't have been laid, but without the egg the chicken would have never been born. Who knows?

The chicken has to come first because the egg has to be warm to hatch and it cant survive on its own in its first year of being a chicken!

It is a theological question! If you believe in God, then the chicken came first because he created everything in full function. Adam and Eve were created as mature people etc. If you believe in Evolution, then the egg came first logically.
Simple. Depends on what you believe

The chicken because if it was the egg, there would not have been any chickens around to protect it from predators or to keep it warm.
