I'm trying to put together a very short movie in adobe after effects (with imported .wmv files). The program is running painfully slow. I've set all of my previews to the lowest resolution to help the program run faster, however, the file still won't render quickly. Is there anything I can do about this? I'm trying to work out timing/pacing, and this is crucial...

Try to first convert the .wmv file to .mov file.

Put your video preview off
+
Change the frame rate
and it should work much better!
