This morning I got a ticket for rolling through a stop sign (though the officer wrote it as a 22450 (c) "Failure to stop at posted stop sign." He circled "infraction" and checked the "no" box on whether or not it was a correctable violation. Will there be a point on my license? Do I have any defenses when I appear in court? How much are tickets like these usually? Will my insurance go up?

You asked four questions.
Will there be a point on your license? Yes. It was a moving violation
Do you have any defenses when you appear in court? Yes.
How much are tickets like these? Alot.
Will your insurance go up? Depends upon the underwriting criterion for your particular insurance company. In California one ticket doesn't make it go up. Two or more does.

If you want the defense info write me at leaving@thelastrump.com and I'll try to find it for you, it's got to be on this computer somewhere.

No. It would not be a fixable violation. What a fixable violation would be is say you had a broken headlight and you could fix it and have it written off as fixed and pay a small usually 10.00 fee. Yes there will be a point on your license if you do not attend traffic school. To get traffic school you have to plead guilty on the violation and ask the judge to attend traffic school. If you do not attend traffic school the dmv will put a point on your license and your insurance will go up. If you attend traffic school there will be no point on your license though the ticket will show up but won't have a point next to it. Your insurance company usually runs your dmv (department of motor vehicle) record every six months. A ticket will stay on for about 3 years. paying for traffic school is a lot cheaper than having your insurance go up for three years. The fine is different everywhere in california its about 300.00. You can call the court give them the citation # and ask what the bail is they can give you the amount. There is no defense in your case really. If you wanted to fight it you could show up to court and plead not guilty. Then they would give you a hearing date where the officer shows up and gives his side and you give your side..you can only pray that the officer does not show and the ticket is dismissed.. i'd rather go to traffic school.

You'll probably have to pay a fine; I presume you will at least get some points on your license. If you pay the fine, you don't actually have to go to court (unless for some reason it's mandatory in your case - the ticket should say so). If in doubt, call the court clerk for the court in whose juridiction the offense occurred, and find out the particulars.

you need to basically get a legal professional and characteristic them plea it right down to defective kit. you nonetheless ought to pay a great plus the cost of the legal professional. besides the undeniable fact that that is then a non-transferring violation and could no longer bypass on you record. i imagine my insurance co. keeps archives for 3 years so that you paintings there gonna see it in some unspecified time sooner or later. you are able to to boot pay the added money now and not in any respect difficulty about it again. the position i'm at you need to do a pair a three hundred and sixty 5 days like this.

Depends on where you are. It's a moving violation so, again depending on where you are, it'll be reported to your insurance company. Not a major offense though....
