I was dating this guy that turned out to be a player. I broke it off with him. I didn't hear from him for a month and then he called me last week around 3:30am stating that he missed me and that he knows he messed things up between us and he knows that I am a good girl and he is not the right guy for me, but wanted me to know that he still loves me. I could tell that he had been drinking. He called me during the week to see how I was doing but that was all. Then this past weekend, he called me again in the middle of the night like 5 times and left me messages that he wanted to see me. I didn't answer my phone. I texted him the next day and asked why he was calling me in the middle of the night and he stated "I know I probably shouldn't call but when I drink it makes me remember the good times we had and it makes me want to call you. thats all". I responded by saying "i figured that was the case. I know you really didn't mean anything by it". I felt hurt. So what do you think?

forget him....he gets drunk and lonely then thinks about you and what you are doing and wishes he wasn't so alone and he knows you still have feelings for him too....because you care....leave him alone and move on because he is not right for you and this thing will keep going on....and it will still hurt everytime if you believe his words...let him go he had his chance and he messed up....remember that....

Phone calls made by a "player" during drinking hours and especially early AM calls almost always means booty calls. Don't fall for anything a guy like that says when he is drinking.
You obviously are a bright woman and your instincts were right. Good for you. You deserve a heck of a lot better than that guy.

I think you should just leave it alone. You said he was a player and even he said he doesn't deserve you. More than likely, you are one of the only girls that he can't get right now so he wants what he can't have. Whether it's for the sex or to see if you will come back to him. Either way, it's not real. Don't pay him any mind.

I think he may miss you, but you still need to be careful. If you want to see him wait until he asks to hang out, but hang out.... no sex. At least for a while and so you don't start wanting him back. If he misses you and wants you back then he will come around. Just don't jump right back into his arms. You need to make sure that it feels right in your heart first. Hang out as friends for a while before becoming his g/f again. If he has changed it will show.
