I haven't lost my virginity.. And I don't intend to until marriage. Because then it means something.. I'll be in love and love the person I'm meant to spend the rest of my life with.. I know people who have lost their virginity before they were ready and they regret it BIG TIME. It destroyed their values, their personal image, their own view of themselves...

I was sexually abused when I was about one year old ... and I had no 'choice' in the 'breaking of my hymen' ... and there are many women who have had theirs 'broken' from 'non-sexual' impacts ... riding a horse (on it's back!), riding a bike ... and what is the 'point' of regretting 'losing something' that you can never 'get back' ... I'm totally happy with who I am now, and my husband and I are about to celebrate our tenth anniversary ... and it is that and the future that matter to me, not the 'tearing of a bit of skin' in my past.

It was sometime in October 1998, at SUNY Oneonta. I was visiting a girl I was "in love" with from high school at the time. I didn't really want to, but I did. It was awful. I didn't want to have sex for a while after she dumped me a few weeks later! I was so crushed. After a few years of not speaking, we're friends. She's a great person and dates a friend of mine.
