Time will help. Perhaps find some friends to hang with. Friends can always make you laugh. When you go to sleep at night, you will recall all that you do. As long as you make good decisions every day and the good things out number the bad, you will feel better about yourself and life. Have some fun, go to a comedy club. Hope that helps. No advice on the car because I can not help with that, sorry.

I have found that often people who seek out attention "the life of the party folks," usually have self esteem issues. Maybe its time you took yourself seriously, and really delve into why you feel the need to be "the life of the party." I think counseling is the way to go, and until you chose to make a committment to yourself to change, you will continue to travel down the same path.

..You have an inside problem...and are always looking for an outside solution. Go get an alcohol assessment, send your parents to Al-anon & drag your depressed self now to AA, There are plenty of people just like yourself there already. Get some courage & do it! Otherwise you may be going through this same story repeatedly until you have had enough. There are no short cuts to happiness. Write if you wish. Peace

funny and being the life of the party doesn't mean you have confidence in yourself.. as the drinking would suggest... in all honesty you may not want counseling.. but you sound like someone who could benefit from it... but for a short term fix.. go do some moderate physical exercise.. get your blood flowing.. and get a sweat up.. it will make you feel a little better.

I know you say you don't want groups or therapy, but if you have had a problem with alcohol, you really need support. Please reconsider about getting support while you quit drinking.

BTW, my son was seriously injured by a drunk driver three months ago and almost died (He's going to be okay), so I greatly support your decision to quit drinking if you have a problem. PLEASE get someone to assist you. It will be a lot easier if you do.

"always the life of the party.." That's probably where the problems stem from honey. Stay away from the booze, babe...and grow up. I'm glad they took your license, I don't want you driving around killing my kids or anyone elses.
