the age old question,enevitably it was the egg from a pre-historic creature which led to the deminuative creation of the chicken,yet the truth is unknown,popular belief would suggest the egg came first

Okay, if you say the egg then where did the egg come from? If you then answer the chicken, then where did the chicken come from? If you then answer the egg again, then I'll ask you where did the egg come from? If you again answer the chicken, I'll ask where did it come from and you'll answer the egg. I guess then everyone is at an impasse, and it is one of those rhetorical questions that do not need an answer too.

If you believe in Evolution then it is the egg, eventually some other creature had the "chicken" come out of thier egg and poof chickens were born.
