Most places offer a discounted rate or even free services for employees. If they do not offer I would definately bring it up.

Your child still costs the same to care for as any other child, so I could understand why your fees are not discounted however ask around and try to find out what other centres offer their staff in relation to fees. That way if you are thinking of asking for a discount you will have an idea of wether it is acceptable to expect, and how much discount is appropriate. If you find that no discount is the norm, then you probably do not have much right to ask for one.

My children went to a centre where the staff were not allowed to have their children attend at all to avoid a conflict of interest. I think this is extreme. If discounts for staff are standard practice then you should expect the same, but keep in mind that if your child is under your care they effectively paying you to do what you could do at home. It does not cost them less to care for your child simply because you are there.

No business's dont run on nothing,I would not expect to get a discount. I would be happy that there is a place for my child. I always thought that having a child was to look after he/she YOURSELF. Be thankful you have a job where you can look after yours and others.

I'd expect a discount and if I run the company I'd expect to give you a discount. Probably an oversight, ask them about it and I'm sure they'll agree!

That does seem a little odd.. i mean most places give a discount or some kind of accomodation for employees... have you asked your boss?If not you need to bring it up!! I mean its like your paying to take care of your own child? that doesnt make much sense!

yes i do.. i think u should get like 50 % off, even though i know they wont do that, cuz they could just get someone else to work instead of you...but none the less you should get a discount!!

i think you should, b/c working there is a reason your daughter is at that particular daycare center.
