I don't think it is right, however you have to look at two points of view:
(1) Illegals do jobs that most normal Americans don't want to do. Just like what the British did in Trinidad and Guyana, when they imported thousands of East Indians from India to jobs that most freed slaves refused to do or wanted more money, illegals do fill in the void in jobs Americans don't want to do.
(2) If the Monroe Doctrine was never used, and the U.S. didnt meddle in the affairs of Latin American nations, then there could have been a chance in prosperity that would have prevented illegals from coming to the U.S. However, during the Cold War, whenever a Latin American tyrant such as Batista in Cuba, Somoza in Nicaragua, and Trujillo in the Dominican Republic labeled opponents to their rule as communists, the U.S. provided them the funds and means to keep the opposition down. Hence, oppression = mass exodus from a nation.

Illegals are not doing jobs Americans will not do. That is a misconception. Americans will do the job if the pay is right. These companies know that Illegals have low standards and will pay them well below the US minimum wage. This saves the company money. An American has an expected cost of living and will not work for $3.15 an hour. If the company pays $11.00, it costs that company money in contrast to hiring an illegal where he can use that $11.00 to pay three illegal immigrants salary. There is no justification for illegal entry into the US and it is wrong. If no illegals were present, these companies would not have a choice but to raise these wages suitable for the cost of living and Americans WILL do the job.
When you think of macroeconomics, these illegals will never live above the poverty line. Being in the US is about the same as living in Mexico. They come here for better opportunities but the same people that say “illegals do jobs Americans will not do” blindly do not know that they are really suppressing these immigrants financially. As long as companies have a “cheap eye” and as long as illegals are immigrating, they will never be compensated parallel to typical American wage.

The US has the world's most dominant economy. The only reason it remains as competitive as it does is because of access to cheap, uneducated labour, and without this many american industries would lose out to east asian economies. I realise that this is not positive for worker rights, unions or minimum wage, but as far as the american economy's competitive edge is concerned, illegal immigration is a godsend.

they do these minimum wage jobs,at slaughter houses, picking oranges or apples, becausethere is not enough money for an american citzen to live off of.can u live off that? i cant.
then on the other hand u have these illegal immigrants that come here and do the same job i do,construction, for less money than it takes me to live.
so the answer is no i dont agree with illegal immigration.i think that anyone who does ought to illegally immigrate to mexico, then see if u can live down there.

Cheap labor makes our economy stay competitive. There won't be any small businesses left in US. Small businesses make up more than 60% of our economy. If we use all US citizens in our labor force, and pay at least minimum wage, our middle class people will not live like we are right now. Restaurants, supermarkets, gas stations, contruction related businesses, etc....basically everything will be higher to run these businesses. And guess what, you (consumers) will end up paying more for their goods, services, etc. Inflation! How did we able to control our inflation? Cheap labor!!!
If we don't reproduce (population) like the third nations, we need more labors to runs our robust economy. And cheap labors are welcome here in US.
Illegal aliens are problem for social and political reason. Economically, they are just fine.

Yes. What is the point of discussing. You have already told us why you think it is wrong.I sure as hell would not want to work in a freezer for 8 to 10 hours a day because that is the only way meat can be processed. I want illegals to be given a chance to work inthe USA. I do not care about your reasons or anybody else's reasons for not wanting them here.

first of all, there are human beings who would take the roles that unlawful immigrants paintings at. yet outsourcing continues to be a bigger subject. human beings have been cheated out of greater jobs via outsourcing that via unlawful immigration, and outsourcing advantages the economies of countries like China. China has an extremely corrupt and oppressive government, and any money their economic equipment gets via outsourcing could flow in direction of their militia. i think of that China is an extremely risky united states of america, and that's a dire danger to the U.S. very quickly. they're going to proabably conquer Taiwan ultimately, and that i does no longer be shocked in the event that they began conquering the whoel international besides. Outsourcing enables China construct up their militia. So does each and all of the chinese language-produced products bought interior the U.S. Hu Jintao and all the different chinese language leaders would desire to be giggling their heads off that the U.S. is financing the growth war they're going to quickly be beginning, and meanwhile human beings are greater worried approximately Iran and unlawful Immigration (unlawful immigration is not any small difficulty, via the way; it heavily isn't as risky via fact the risk China poses). Very worrisome.

No. I think all employment should be tied to legal status, then if we have a shortage of people we can address that. I wouldn't invade someone's country and expect to be treated with kid gloves, so I don't think illegals should get special treatment. No amnesty, certainly no citizenship, no short circuit of the endless delays and huge costs of legal immigration.

Illegal aliens are doing the only work they are qualified for.
How hard is this- they don't speak English
they can't read and write
they have no HS diploma
they come to America to work because they can't find work in Mexico (supposedly), if they haven't been working they have no prior experience. They are unskilled labor.
What the heck do you think they can do?
Let me clue you in here, if you don't graduate from HS with the ability to read and write and speak English- you're going to be doing the same work they are.
Deport all illegal aliens and their anchor babies upon detection.
