my brother was born in1980 but i am the oldest does that help?

Now, my first answer was to say that you are on a different planet than your brother. Mercury, for example (like you're an astronaut), which travels around the sun faster so years are shorter. So you, at fifteen (ok, a junior astronaut) but being on mercury would excellerate the years you are alive, going by Mercury years.

That's one theory. Albiet far-fetched, but there it is.

Ok, so if you are fifteen, it must be 2002, and the next year is 2003. But you are older than your brother, who was born in 1980. Did you make this up?

Is it 1987 and 1980 BC? Because those times go backwards, like on a number line. The year 1987 would have come BEFORE 1980.

That's the one that seems most plausible to me.

Unless 1980 and 1987 aren't years but buildings or towns or something?

You were born in 1987 and you AGED 15 years since then. That means you aged 15 more years since 1992 when you were 5 years old. Next years you will age 16 more years.

As for you being oldest despite the fact that your brother was born in 1980, the only way for that condition to be true is if your brother died.

This makes perfect sense.

A person at age fifteen, born in 1987. And assuming that this is the year 2007, he must have been traveling lightning fast(or close to that) for most of his life because it seems that *gasp* 1987 is 20 years from 2007! Wow, that's a bit contradictory, living from 1987 to 2007, with a fifteen-year age. Unless this is an era that still likes to peek in, or some forgotten forum, I believe that this case is impossible.

Here is what I think:

You are now 20 years old since you were born in 1987. Since your brother would now be 27 years old, but you claim you are the oldest, I am assuming that he must be dead and you are considered the oldest. You are not 15, but you have aged fifteen years since 1992, and next year you will have aged 16.

Just as a bit of extra perhaps your brother died in 1992 and each year afterward is sentimental to you, so you count your age ever since he died.
