All I know is that Samson's parents took a Nazarite vow. No alcohol, no haircut, no touching dead animals. I don't know about all, but I know Samson disobeyed 2 of them. In Corinthians, it says nature itself tells you that if a man has long hair, it is a shame unto him. Its not fun when you are noticing a beautiful "girl" from the back, until you see the front and notice its not a girl at all!

There are certain people who, by a Biblical obligation, cannot cut their hair. These are folks who took a vow of nazirism. Among the restrictions of the vow is they are prohibited from cutting their hair, consuming any grapes or grape products, and coming into contact (or close proximity) with a dead person. Such vows usually had a set term of 30 days. Samson, however, due to the circumstances of his birth, was a nazirite for life. Such a nazirite has slightly different requirements but not cutting hair is not one of them.

Not at all, but traditionally in the OT a man having a shaved head was a sign of purity.

Jesus had long hair so it'd be a tad hypocritical to say that.
