Hey Dude:
Craps is one of the toughest casino games to learn to play. I have included a link to "how to play craps" and wish you all the luck. It is certainly I game I have tried but I would rather stick with the easier casino game of blackjack!
Good Luck!

It seems complicated but it's not. There are a lot of confusing bets on the table but I suggest you stick to the basics.
Bet the pass line. It will be right in front of you on the table and marked as such.
When the "shooter"...the person with the dice makes his first or "come out" roll, the following will happen:
7 or 11 you win and the shooter shoots again
2, 3 or 12 you lose and the shooter shoots again
4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 becomes the "Point".
If a point number is rolled, the shooter has to roll this number again before a 7 for you to win your pass line bet. If he rolls a 7 before the "point" number, you lose and the shooter loses and the dice go to the next person.
I would also suggest that you "Place" the 6 and 8 unless one of them is the point. 6 and 8 are the most likely numbers to be rolled since there are so many combinations that can make up these numbers. Basic strategy says to have 3 numbers bet.
For example, the shooter rolls a 4. You toss money on the table and say "gimme a 6 & 8". You can not hand the dealer the money. You have to drop it on the table. (MAKE SURE THE DICE ARE NOT IN MOTION WHEN YOU DO THIS.) Now, you want a 4, 6 and 8 to be rolled before a 7.
That's it in a nutshell. I've put a link to John Patrick's book on Craps. He is in my opinion the best when it comes to craps. He talks a lot about knowledge, discipline, win/loss limits and more.

Wow, that's a big question! Whole BOOKS have been written on the subject, so it's not an easy one to condense.
That said, if you stick to one type of bet, it's not that hard to play craps. The simplest bets to learn are pass/don't pass. The pass line bet is the MAIN craps bet. You win if the come-out roll is a 7 or 11. If the come-out roll is 2, 3 or 12, the bet loses. If instead the come-out roll establishes a point, and that point is rolled again, the bet wins. If a point is established and a 7 is rolled before the point is re-rolled, the bet loses. Sounds a little more complicated than it is, I think, but it quickly makes sense once you play a bit.
I suggest doing some reading, and then playing for a while for free. All online casinos offer a "free" option, so you can practice to your heart's content before you actually jump in there! I put a link in the source with more info, and there's also a free craps game on the site. Good luck!

best way to learn is to go play with someone who knows the game.(I mean really knows the game) most casinos give lessons in the afternoon when they are not that busy. It is the best game for fun and action especially when the table is hot! If you have nobody to help just stand next to a dealer and watch at a table that's not too busy. start off slow with just a simple pass line bet and as you start to understand the other bets try them.
