A good girl friend of many years wrote this in an email to me.
"I will be praying that God reveals to you a person you can share your dreams with! When it happens, i will be so excited and happy for you; because you really deserve it!"
I told her I liked her a lot, but she knows there are parts of my life I share with no one. She has tried lately to ask about these parts. What does that phrase mean?

It means she feels she is not right for you and hopes you find someone who is. Obviously she thinks that if you cannot share everything with her, the two of you are not meant to be.

Maybe even though you told her that you like her a lot, she thinks that she's not the one for you cause you won't open up and talk to her about these things. If she's someone you want to be with you shouldn't have secrets from her. They'll bite you in the butt later on if you do keep things from her.
That's why she is praying that God will send you the right person. You haven't made her feel like she's it. Do you think she is???

I guess she's trying to say that she loves you as a friend but doesn't want anything more than friends. But she does think you are a great guy that deserves a good girlfriend.

Maybe she feels you're lonely and could use some companionship of the opposite sex. Or maybe you express such a desire to her on many occasions but did not realize you were doing it. Sounds like a decent friend to me.

It means she knows that you are not the one for her, but that she hopes you will find happiness with someone else.

She is just telling you that she is willing to listen. Other than just SAYING it, she is trying to say she knows you need someone to talk to and if it isn't HER, then she wishes you the luck of finding SOMEONE.
