It's not personal. They know the road well enough to know how long most people take to turn right. They're assuming you'll do the same. They think they're being a clever, sharp driver -- so if something goes wrong, they'll feel like it's "your fault" - which is why they act rude.

It's really their fault. They should be prepared to stop for ANYTHING that happens ahead of them. They'd be 100% at fault if they rear-end you, which doesn't help you much :(

I usually just flash my brake lights at them to "wake em up", or slow down a bit more than usual so *I* have more reaction time. It's never a bad idea to slow down early...

Nobody has a right to "push" you into driving harder than you want to. Slow down and drive the way you want, and if they're impatient, make them wait! Being nice to other drivers is a good thing, but not to the point of you being uncomfortable or breaking the law. You'll get the ticket, after all.

I even don't understand why you consider someone to be slowing down "way too a lot" We decelerate for the following causes. a million) we are protective driving and making particular that we may be able to sparkling the intersection properly. the former day, I had an arrow for a real turn and someone made an unlawful left turn on the stoplight turning in route of me, and if I had no longer been watching for him, he would have hit me on the driver's aspect door. He grow to be too impatient to attend to get to the figuring out to purchase center. 2) immediately, a newborn grow to be walking in the intersection and if I had no longer been watching for that child, i'd have hit the newborn. She grow to be 12 and walking in the midst of a 4-lane street!! 3) If we've issues in our vehicle that ought to spill or tip over, we decelerate for turns. 4) we want to concentrate of people like you who're too impatient to be careful and who're more beneficial in all probability to reason an twist of destiny. I oftencontinual quick, yet I continually am searching for different drivers.

I really hate being stuck behind a driver who makes slow right turns. Its annoying! If you're turning right, why come to a complete stop first? For that matter if you are turning left and nothing is approaching the opposite direction, why stop and sit there?

did u ever consider that maybe they're timing ur turn? i often slow down about 3 or 4 lengths back, and when i detect u are about to turn, i start to increase the gas. it might appear that i'm about to drive up ur bumper, but i'm also watching for anything that might be inbound, and on the sides.

just fyi, if u just slam on the brakes for no clear reason, u risk getting rear ended. but what i hate is those that slow to about 5 mph on a clear and sunny day on a dry road, and u wind up getting a line of 20 cars backed up waitin for that yahoo to move it.

I know in Louisiana it seems as though no one knows how to use the turn signal.
