What is the cream filling made of?

I am making cream filled cupcakes( attempting to, I should say) for my daughter's class, for their Valentine's Day party. Can anyone tell me how to make the cream filling? Ten points to the first one to help me? Just plain vanilla cream filling. Thank You.
