Yes - we went from Hull on ferry then through Belgium,France,Switzerland to Italy where we ot a ferry from Ancona,Italy to Cesme in Turkey. We have friends who come every year via Greece then get ferry. There are other routes which pass through former communist east european states though many people have bad reports re police and criminals preying on people passing through. We got our exact route from the RAC and booked ferry from Ancona through London office of shipping co.Marmara Lines - they are on net and phone.

No, but I remember the company I worked for ordered a lorry load of video tape from a factory in Turkey.
We were expecting it to come to UK by sea, but they sent a UK driver to pick it up and drive it back.
They said it was coming by TIR truck - try saying that with a Turkish accent and you will undestand why we were confused.
There was a war on at the time in what used to be called Yugoslavia.
Apparently truck UK drivers get the job done quicker.
It must have found some bad roads as the pallets were broken on arrival and our warehouse staff declared the load unsafe to off load, so the poor driver had to find a place to unload, restack the pallets and return to our warehouse to deliver.

Dear Mag, you know Frankturk has won my 10 points. He proposed the best way to travel from the UK to Turkey, but if you want to see more countries and not to miss something very special, you can't avoid Greece. So, after Italy you can take ferry to Greece (Absolutely must!) and after you can enter the ISTANBUL, historical CONSTANTINOPLE- one of the greatest places in the entire world!

Its very easy to drive down through Europe. Cross the channel to France, Belgium or to Holland. Drive south through Austria into Slovenia, then Croatia and Serbia. Its good motorway driving 95% of the way. Bulgaria can be a bit problematic and I have heard of bandits, but just follow the Turkish trucks and you can't go wrong. Try to avoid the July & August shut-down period in German car factories. Thousands of Turkish workers head home at that time and normally quiet roads get jammed solid.

I trust typhoon. it relatively is extra effective to easily seize a flight, as a results of fact the course is purely too long. in my view however, if I have been to circulate i might %. the routes that are nearer to a coastline shore. it'd get relatively uninteresting seeing such different roads, that it'd be advantageous to make certain the sea coast. playstation . I actually have a Nissan observe (the bigger version of the Micra)...basically a fyi :) i might like to furnish you the fee, yet i'm undecided in case you're conversing approximately gas expenses, renting expenses, and so forth?
