errr nope never can't say i even seen them on sale in these weird food shops either.

yes turkeys do lay eggs, With Duck eggs being larger, have to be cooked that much longer, because they are poisoners if left to soft. Maybe its the same with Turkey eggs, in that they may have a poisoner's enzyme that could kill if not cooked properly, so they don't sell them like the rest of the eggs.

Yes I won some at my local school fete they are quite strong in flavour very similar to duck eggs but bigger and the shell is much harder to crack as it is thicker

I did ask the lady who supplied the egg assortment why you don't see them in shops and the answer seems to be that they are normally bred for meat and the Egg market is well covered by chickens plus there are far fewer turkeys to produce the amount of eggs we use but there is no reason not to eat them

Turkey egg is about 8 cm. Weight: about 85 gram (hen´s egg about 50 g). Tastes like hen´s egg. Cholesterol: High. Cooking time: 10-11 minutes. (soft egg yolk)

Actually I doubt I've ever had a duck or goose egg let alone a turkey egg.

Ewwwwwwww.......I haven't had the nerve to try the duck or goose egg yet. And I grew up on a farm!!

used for future breeds can be 4/5 times bigger than hen eggs

Had a mate who worked on a turkey farm and he used to bring me some every week..you only need one on your toast and they are higher in cholesterol than other eggs..the wife loved to use them in her baking

my hubby says he has heard of ppl eating turkey eggs as it only takes 2 to make an omlette, we think they have a bad flavor
