i don't get what is suppose to happen when you have points i have 103 right now and have no clue what to do with them are you suppose to like buy things or something with it?

You don't actually buy things. They just show how cool you are. lol. After you answer a question, at the bottom of you screen (right beside where it urges you to answer more questions) there's a link that will tell you all about points.

You use them so you can ask questions. Every question costs 5 points and everytime you anwser a question you recieve 2. Also once you get to the 2nd level you can rate questions and answers (I think it is 250).

It's basically a score. You don't get anything and they have no value. When they celebrated their first-year anniversary a couple of months ago, they gave away magnets, caps, jackets, depending on what level you had attained at that time, but that promotion is over.

You get two points for answering a question and ten extra if your answer is chosen by voters or the person who asked the question as the "best answer".
It doesn't qualify you for any prizes or other merchandise. As you reach different "levels" you can answer more questions in one day, etc.
