Would a girl prefer a shy guy or a more outgoing(talkative) guy

It depends. I've chased after at least one shy boy. I had it on good authority that he was interested, but being the one making all the effort, while he stood there awkwardly, got old REAL fast. It eventually came to the point where the ball was in his court, he dropped it, and I refused to duck the net to start up the game again. If you're too painfully shy to even make any sort of effort, well, it's tiring to be the one doing all the legwork and not getting any return on it.
Girls interpret the 'I'm too afraid to talk, I'm too nervous to call' thing as "I am not into you. Leave me alone." All too often, shy comes across as stuck up and uninterested.
Girls are very cautious about calling too much and making overtures; the 'psycho stalker' label is, for girls, seriously damaging, and all too easy to earn.
So, in conclusion, 'shy' is fine to a point. But only to a point. Talking to a guy who is so nervous and shy that he can't contribute to a conversation is not attractive, and whatever pull I felt towards him dies pretty quick when I realize he's shy to the point of being socially inept. If a guy is not willing to work to overcome that shyness, we interpret that to mean they don't consider us worthy of the effort.

well why would girls like shy guys they dont talk so what can you possibly know about them as for talkitive outgoing guys you get to know them and talk flirt around which shy guys dont like or just get to shy

I think it depends on the girl. From what i know, most girls like when the guy starts talking to them not the other way around.

They never like quiet shy guys.
Some of them say they do, but these are the same ones that say they want a "nice guy" but repeatedly choose the "bad boys" they really want.

I like a shy guy, they are not as rude and wild as the out going type.

as long as u have a great personality & i get 2 know u then it doesn't matter 2 me if ur shy or not.

I am shy and find shy guys less intimdating and very sexy.
