No, it's all about salvation.

Before mankind dwelt in a flesh body, Satan rebelled and 1/3 of God's children followed Satan. So we are born innocents through the womb unaware of what happened in the rebellion. It was God's plan of Salvation and to defeat death, that is Satan.

Heb 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

There is so much more that documents this but you could write a small book on the subject. A deep study.

To worship him???? Is God some kind of narcissist megalomaniac? I don't agree with that, really. This physical universe, of which we inhabit just a little blue speck, is just a small part of His/Her creation. God created us and everything else that exists in both physical and spiritual planes just for the sake of doing it, for the sheer pleasure of, from being One, becoming the Many, and after countless eons of time, from being Many becoming One again. This Earth is just one of God's countlees playgrounds, and He/She is present within all of us, humans.

Because you wanted it. Therefore God has given you this world.
We were with Him, we were worshiping Him, or more intimate: we were playing with Him, eating with Him, we were doing everything that we are doing here, but the difference is that over there, we were doing it for His pleasure, and here we are doing for our pleasure. And that is why He put us here, because we wanted to experience pleasure separated form Him.

I don't even think God is so self-centered to desire to be worshipped. But I do know he wants to love us. It's really that simple, I think
