If you are scared for her life take her to a vet.

Is this behavior new? How long have you had her? Is she spayed? When was the last time she saw the vet? Is she urinating or defacating other than the litter box?

Some pets, more specifically cats, have moods during certain times of the month maybe around their period so this could be it. It could also be that she is moody because she's in heat or there are other pets around and that's causing her to be moody. Animals have a certain peckin order, one cat will be the Alpha leader and the others fall under that. If you have introduced a new pet or someone new in your house this could make her pissy.

I have a cat who is six. She is pissy at times. She has always meowed at the door to come in or out, she also will meow and when I open the door she runs off. Kind of wanting me or someone to follow or play with her. She hisses at me sometimes if I accidently bump her. These behaviors of hers do not last long and is usually infrequent. Maybe you need to get your cat fixed.

If any of this doesn't help you can make an apt at the vet and have the vet check her out and see what the vet says about her behavior. She could also be pregnant.

She may be in pain. Take her to the vet and get her checked out. A cat that hisses and hides for no apperent reason is usually a cat in pain of some sort.

Your cat may be in heat (meaning she is menstrating). This can make a female cat very agitated
